Privacy policy
Last updated: 3 October 2026
This page is the privacy notice for the Vis Cape Town Beta waitlist at divevis.app (Cloudflare Pages project vis-interest). On this site, Vis means the Cape Town diving-visibility product, not a registered company name.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist, we collect the email address
you submit, plus a short source label (which form you used),
a timestamp, and a Cloudflare request identifier
(cfRay) for operational debugging.
Your browser may also keep a local copy of waitlist emails in
localStorage (key vis.waitlist.emails) as a
retry buffer on your device. That copy stays on your device unless you
clear site data.
Why we collect it
We email you about Vis Cape Town Beta and launch updates. Nothing else. We do not use waitlist emails for unrelated marketing.
Where it is stored
Waitlist submissions are stored in Cloudflare Workers KV namespace vis-waitlist, bound to the Pages project vis-interest. Keys are keyed by email (upsert) with a secondary timestamp index for listing.
What we do not collect here
The sample Cape Town hex visibility map on the landing page is illustrative (sample forecast / review grid). It is not personal data and is not tied to your waitlist email.
This interest site does not ask for a name, phone number, dive-site history, or payment details.
Sharing and selling
We do not sell waitlist emails. We do not share them with third-party advertisers. Access is limited to Vis operators who manage the waitlist (for example via the Cloudflare dashboard or a token-protected admin list endpoint).
Retention and removal
We keep waitlist entries while the Cape Town Beta waitlist is active, or until you ask us to remove yours. To request removal (or ask a privacy question), email [email protected] with the address you submitted.
